Vertical Farming as a driver of sustainable change for the food system?

The FERI Cognitive Finance Institute in Germany has published a report about Vertical farming which is a special form of urban agriculture that enables highly automated production of essential food indoors under controlled environmental conditions all year round. Climate change and scarcity of resources are forcing traditional food systems to be restructured and vertical farms offer efficient technological solutions for food production of the future.
